This week's assignment will be used to build your course-long project. We'll start out by defining a business-related problem either at your place of work, or at home. Context Remember from this week's lecture that business problems are current or long term challenges and issues faced by a business. These may prevent a business from executing strategy and achieving goals. In some cases, business problems also threaten the long term survival of a firm. We'll define "home-related business problems" as pertaining to finances or economics, to make this exercise easier for those of you choosing this option. Use the first two steps in the Six Step Problem Solving Method to define your problem and determine root causes.

For Step 2, choose a root cause analysis approach either from the lecture, or another that you locate externally.

If the analysis warrants a visual diagram, please provide one. Please outline each Step of the six-step problem solving method with its own heading and section.

Your use of headings and subheadings will go a long way in helping you treat each step as its own, equally important, part of the critical thinking process.
