To evaluate this process, I would choose to compare performance to the standard as the goal

and control. I would be able to see if there was any deviation from the objective and make sure

that the objective was understood by doing this. Also, it would tell me if the goal is doable

based on how much time was used versus how much time was given. I would consult with my

managers to determine where there is a disconnect if the performance was not meeting

expectations. If it's a staffing issue, I might try to help the team by adding or removing members

through an interview process that includes talent management skills. If it's a production issue, I

might lower my expectations and give myself some time. To assist in resolving the issue, I would

offer VP Finnegan this recommendation.
