To get you started on your report, begin with these general research questions.

Focus on the Industry your company is in. (not what your job is)

• How large is the industry in $$$
• Where are the industry's top three highest-paying geographical areas?
• Which geographical area has the highest concentration of industry jobs?
• Find at least three industry/trade publications/periodicals.
  • Not public-focused but insider-focused (use library databases as well as google)
• Find at least three industry power players (MUST BE ACTIVE IN THE INDUSTRY AND ALIVE)
• For example - Not the players on the court but the owner in the box.
  • State the person's name
  • State their job title
  • State why they qualify as a power player

• Hint...if you have a hard time finding publications, go to your company's news tab. There should be some articles there about your firm. Start with those.
