Token economies are often implemented using a token board that either a client or their behavior-change agent carries around with them. While these token systems can be very effective tools for supporting repertoires of behavior, they may also be considered stigmatizing, especially when used in the community or other public spaces. How might you deal with or respond to the criticism that token boards may stigmatize clients? What other options besides large token boards can you think of to aid in the use of a token economy, especially for older clients?
