Topic 1: Based on Chapter 7 "Managing Change"

Develop a topic for investigation and presentation based on the "Understanding Management Practice" questions 1 and 2 on page 204 at the end of Chapter 7. The questions are reproduced below

• 1. Interview someone you know who has gone through an organisational change. Find out the purpose of the change, the nature of the change and the change process. Ask them to describe any positive or negative experiences they encountered during the change. What do their experiences suggest are the most important things to manage well in organisational change?
• 2. Organisations typically have limits to how much change they can absorb. Develop a checklist of signs you could look for as a manager that might suggest your organisation has exceeded its capacity to change

Use one or both of these questions as a starting point. Apply the principles and models introduced in Chapter 7 to your question or scenario.
