Exercise: You have recently been promoted to CEO of a Cable Television service provider. The company has seen a steady decline in sales for five years, and the company workforce has shrunk by one$-$third. You accepted the position because you see yourself as a leader who can turn around a difficult situation. Besides, if you can stabilize this business, you will greatly enhance your reputation as a business leader. Yet, you realize that many cable subscribers have switched to Internet streaming services.

Today you have a company$-$wide videoconference scheduled in which you will attempt to inspire employees that there is a brighter future ahead. Your skill$-$building task is to deliver a message that will inspire your employees to believe in the future of the company. Include your vision for diversity within the company.
