Milgram was interested in understanding why seemingly normal individuals would act violently toward another simply because they were "following orders". Milgram found that some subjects in the study showed emotional disturbances such as "Profuse sweating, trembling, and stuttering." An unexpected finding was "the occurrence of nervous laughter, which later developed into uncontrollable seizures". Briefly discuss why this type of research design would not be permitted in today's research settings.
