Train Accident. A train carrying freight is slowly moving down the tracks at a constant speed of 14.0 m/s. A passenger train ends up on the same tracks behind the freight train, travelling 35.0 m/s in the same direction. When the front of the passenger train is 64.0 m from the back of the freight train, the conductor realizes what is going on and applies the brakes, slowing the passenger train at a rate of 3.00 m/s.
