Question: Training programs are designed to help organizations optimize employee performance. Enhancing their knowledge and skills, in turn, can have a positive impact on their performance
"Training programs are designed to help organizations optimize employee performance. Enhancing their knowledge and skills, in turn, can have a positive impact on their performance" (Intellipaat, 2023 p.1). Lower turnover rates, higher productivity, and a more engaged team are just a few of the returns from a successful training program. I would like for you to consider the following benefits our training programs provide the company. Productivity increases when our employee's skills are strengthened by continuous learning and development. Compliance standards are met at a higher rate, our employees have a better understanding of expectations and their roles, and work is completed more efficiently. Quality and speed of work improve as our employee's skills are strengthened. These performance indicators are measured by data collected from periodic reporting of profits, losses, results to plan in comparison to the same data collected prior to the implementation of the training. The change in productivity will be revealed through data comparisons. Another benefit is compnay loyalty encouraged through training. "By providing consistent impactful training opportunities, employee motivation and job satisfaction will improve" (Beaupre , 2022 p.1). When employee's are invested in, turnover rates decrease and retention rates increase. It is more cost effective to develop the skills of our current talent than it is to recruit, hire, onboard, and train (repeat) new employees. This is proven by analyzing the data collected from reporting the quantity of internal promotions and quantitiy of new hires into the organization compared to those same metrics before the training. Customer service and the customer experience also increase when employees are well trained and empowered to own their roles. "Continuous training reduces the need for micromanaging and allows employees to enhance their competence levels regarding their roles, and also helps colleagues familiarize each other with their work, roles, and responsibilities (Beaupre , 2022 p.1). When employees are confident in their roles and align themselves with the organization's mission, goal, and standards, the customer experience is enhanced therefore encouraging customer loyalty. Customer experience can be measured by customer service surveys and company reviews whereas employee satisfaction data can be collected by engagement surveys and questionnaires. The importance of continuous traning and development programs must not be underrated. Our employee are our most important asset and in order to remain competitive in our market we must continue to invest in our talent to attract and retain the best of the best.
