Transcribe this interview into a script with quotes
All right so my first question for you is going to be how did your experiences as like a Penn State football player prepare you for the strategic and social challenges in the Big Brother house?
the biggest thing that has prepared me for being in the house was just a mental toughness
uh getting being in high pressure situations because obviously since they've been one of the top football schools in America there's a lot of pressure coming in and playing for Penn State you have to be mentally tough to be able to beat the person across from you playing football as well as be able to play in front of hundreds of thousands of people every weekend so preparing myself mentally to go into the house and preparing myself when things don't go my way when things go my way but handling it with class that's what I've learned from playing football at Penn State
OK and what was your initial game plan going into the house and how did it evolve over the course of the season
ohh my initial game plan was to come in and be a comp beast , come in and win a lot of competitions, so as the show went on I definitely had to switch up my strategy a little bit obviously like I wanted to be a really good social player so I just leaned very heavy on my social skills making alliances making sure that I was always protected throughout the house so my strategy switched up almost once we got like halfway through the amount of days in the house I kind of switched to like a pure social game.
What , was the most significant personal lesson you learned from your time on the show and how has it impacted you since leaving
umm the most significant personal lesson would probably be to cherish my time with family and friends like make those times count a lot of because obviously in the house like you're not in contact with your friends or family so making those moments that you spend with them count a lot so that's kind of been the thing that I've been focusing on more so getting out of the house is just spending more time and just being more intentional and being more present
OK so I assume like that was probably really difficult for you living in isolation but was there anything about the isolation that you thought was easier than expected
uh definitely being without my phone that was that was much easier than I expected, without social media and all that stuff like , I was chilling being around the house and it was such a good cast of people like house guests so like being without my phone that was honestly surprisingly easy to me
OK so I know you talked about like the alliances and stuff so how did you navigate like maintaining friendships but also like looking out for your personal gain
I just was very smart with my words um every day I would wake up and remind myself to be mindful of my words to not let personal relationships cloud game relationships and always when it came time to game time was making the decision that was always best for me I kind of was able to separate the two very well , you make very close relationships because you're with these people every single day so you obviously grow close but at the end of the day there was a $750,000 on the line so when it came to eviction nights and everything like that it was always game decisions
OK how do you feel your portrayal on the show match your real life persona and do you wish there was anything you could have shown differently
umm I haven't been able to watch through the show all the way through but the portrayal that I've gotten of being uh you know being laid back being chill I've seen the memes about me and stuff like that those are hilarious I love those ohh and then the shout out all my dogs at the crib so I think I mean I I love my time on the show I know that whatever is shown on the show I didn't I didn't make a fool out of myself so I'm very proud of the way that I acted so I'm pretty happy with it
that's good did you ever link up with your homies at the crib after
yeah yeah yeah I Iinked up with my dogs I linked up with my dogs after
umm I'm still in the process of linking up with them now but one of one of my main dogs pulled up to finale night so that was exceptionally nice so that was good with my dad so yeah me and the dogs are still going very strong
that's good looking back is there everything you could have you wish you could have done differently or in your relationships that you probably would have tried better to salvage
umm the only thing honestly that I would have done differently is you know maybe win a competition you know towards the end on the final HOH I would have loved to win Part 1 or Part 2 but other than that I think I played a very good game I won the veto when I needed to I was always protected throughout the weeks if I would have won that HOH Part 1 and Part 2 and eventually part three I think I would have been set up very well so that's probably the only thing
OK and like this is my last question was there any like music you were excited to hear coming out of the house or like when you first listen to outside the house like wow like what have I been missing
ohh my goodness there's so much, I just I just didn't wanna miss out on like iconic like summer classic song on yeah you know so that was the biggest thing I just didn't want to be like 3 months behind of all the stuff that everybody knows and then I'm just listening to and ohh this is catchy but I really wanted to tap it on my R&B I'm a R&B guy at heart so I wanted to make sure there was no R&B albums that came out that were fire which there was I just wanted to make sure that the Kendrick and Drake stuff ,what was going on with that then I heard somebody Sabrina Carpenter came out with an album I'm a pop guy too so I was loving that so there was just so much good stuff that came out, I don't think I missed out on too too much but I'm still diving into the catalog now
