"Turn Up The Volume" Playlist: The purpose of this assignment is to generate strategies to use for uncomfortable psychological stress. Using music or sounds (pop, rhythm & blues, classical, rock, jazz, country, hip hop, electronic, instrumental, musical theatre, punk, etc.) students will create a 5 song playlist that supports when they feel out of place that they will implement for one week during their commutes, walking around campus, and etc. Write a 2-page reflection on your experience. The paper must be typed, double space, and size 12 font, Times New Roman. Answering these questions: 1. Pick one music or sound from your playlist and explain how it supported you during the time that you experienced an uncomfortable psychological stress. 2. Identify a theme that you noticed with your music or sound selections. 3. Explain some of the emotions, thoughts, and memories you had while listening to your playlist? 4. What were your overall thoughts on the experience of this assignment (creating the playlist & listening to it)? Would this be something that you continue doing? Why or why not?
