Two Factor ANOVA. An experiment was done to determine the effects of four different pesticides (P1 to P4) on the yield of fruit from three different varieties of a citrus tree (V1 to V3). Eight trees of each variety were randomly selected from an orchard. The four pesticides were randomly assigned to two trees of each variety and applications were made according to recommended levels. Yields of fruit (in bushels per tree) is the Response Variable. This is a two factor ANOVA problem. The JMP output for the full model with an interaction term is given below. The JMP ANOVA tables are given below with seven items whited out that you will need to fill in (numbered in red). JMP provides an ANOVA table for the overall model and then an Effects Table for each term in the model - Variety, Pesticide, and an interaction term. The output uses alpha = .05.
