The two sources that I found which reported on Zephaniah's case are the Newsweek and the Dallas Observer. The Dallas Observer points out how codefendants highlight Trevino as the mastermind of the robbery, both sources report all the facts surrounding the case.

Ethical Dilemma & Ethical Decisions

The elements of this case that create an ethical dilemma stem from the judge's decision to certify Zephaniah and try her as an adult, this seemingly small detail drastically changes the outcome.
