Unable to decide who to fire, Michael delegates the decision to Dwight, who is the assistant to the regional manager. Dwight decides to determine the employees to be terminated by holding a no-holds-barred karate tournament between the workers. Several employees object and threaten to quit. Dwight refuses to allow them to quit. He offers any potential quitters must first fight him before leaving employment. Creed then suggests the employees unionize in light of this bizarre treatment. Hearing the mention of unions, Michael then fires Creed on the spot for suggesting the benefits of a union. Can he do this? What law(s) would apply?
