This project is a service facility that consists of an industrial building $($Building $\backslash (\backslash$mathrm$\{$A$\}=25,000\backslash$mathrm$\{$sf$\}\backslash ))$ for servicing equipment and vehicles and an employee's administrative office building $($Building $\backslash (\backslash$mathrm$\{$B$\}=20,000\backslash$mathrm$\{$sf$\}\backslash ))$ for the management of the operation of the service facility. A warehouse building $($Building C$)$ is proposed as a future addition to the project but is not initially included in the scope due to constraints on the owner's budget. Site work consists of grading, drainage, and all on$-$site utilities that are required for the operation of the service facility. The project is to be located on $100$ acres of land in Oklahoma City, OK$.$ Figure $1$ is a site plan that shows the layout of the buildings, driveways, and parking areas. The scope of work includes engineering, procurement, and construction for the site work and two buildings. Special procurement includes the overhead crane for Building A and an elevator conveying system for Building B$.$ Table $1$ shows the owner's budget for each of the major items and the overall project. Table $2$ presents the individual activities that must be completed along with the activity duration, total activity cost, and the number of workers required to complete the activity.

Requirements

$2.$ In addition to constructing the project in Oklahoma City, you are also considering similar projects elsewhere. The first alternative location is in Dallas, TX where Building $\backslash (\backslash$mathrm$\{$A$\}=32,000\backslash )$ sf$,$ Building $\backslash (\backslash$mathrm$\{$B$\}=26,000\backslash$mathrm$\{$sf$\}\backslash ),$ and the site is $120$ acres. The second alternative location is in St $.$ Louis, MO where Building $\backslash (\backslash$mathrm$\{$A$\}=21,000\backslash$mathrm$\{$sf$\}\backslash ),$ Building $\backslash (\backslash$mathrm$\{$B$\}=17,000\backslash$mathrm$\{$sf$\}\backslash ),$ and the site is $75$ acres. You expect to build on the Dallas site four years from now and the St$.$ Louis site five years from now. You may assume an interest rate of $\backslash (3\backslash \%\backslash ).$ Using the information in Table $1$ as a basis, estimate the cost for each major item and the overall project budget for each of the two alternative locations. Be sure to use an appropriate amount of contingency in your estimates.
