This led Psychologists from a university in southeast Texas to measure stress from a sample of university students and a second example of community college students. Stress was measured using the Perceived Stress Scale (PSS; Cohen 1994). Scores on the PSS scale range from 0 - 40 in which higher scores indicate increased levels of stressed.
