Instructions:

A) Multiply total sq. ft to be covered by the desired mulch rate in lbs./acre.

B) Divide the answer to A by 43,560. (sq.ft in 1 acre)

C) Divide B by the number of lbs./ bag = number of bags needed.

Example:

15,000 sq. ft 2,000 lbs./acre = 30,000,000

30,000,000 43,560 = 688 lbs, mulch

688 50 lbs./bag = 13.77 bags
