Use the checklist below to undertake the audit and note your findings. The checklist provides an insight into some of the issues the business may wish to consider as part of their KM (knowledge management) activities. Once you have completed the audit, develop a report that:

1.Identifies learning needs and defines plans and implement learning activities to enable personnel to use information or knowledge management system including:

providing human, financial and physical resources as required

using of coaching, mentoring, information sessions, workshops, training programs and e-learning as appropriate

2. Monitors performance and addresses issues and contingencies as noted including:

accessing technical specialists as required

correcting application of policies and procedures for the information or knowledge management system

aligning and ensuring effectiveness of the policies and procedures

ensuring effectiveness of information or knowledge management system for intended outcomes

3. Recommends improvements to systems, policies and practices as appropriate
