Use the knowledge gained this semester through the course content and assignments to design a reinforced concrete beam for a simply supported span of $32$ feet. Follow the criteria below.

Use Grade $60$ steel and normal weight concrete with a compressive strength of $4500$ psi.

The beam will be loaded with $0\mathrm{.}9$kip$\frac{s}{f}t$ dead load and $2\mathrm{.}6$kip$\frac{s}{f}t$ live load $($these loads do not include the self$-$weight$).$

Consider all applicable limit states in your design $($both strength and serviceability$).$

Consider code detailing requirements in your design.

Draw elevation and cross$-$sectional views of your beam showing all required reinforcement and dimensions. You may use a software package such as AutoCAD or work neatly by hand.
