XYZ Mechanic Shop Assume you are asked to design the user interface of a mobile application for a mechanic shop. The owner wants his clients (users) to use the app to view services offered, manage appointments (book, cancel, view appointments and update statuses for appointments). Paul Carr, owner of XYZ Mechanic, is aware that the users of this application are of varying capabilities, however, he wants the user experience to be great in general. He has strongly emphasized that he is investing in this application to optimize business operations. He anticipates an application that will motivate his employees to work and keep his customers happy. Tasks 1. Research data you need to capture to develop suitable personas for this application and document notable information. Some things to look for when researching: a) What are the possible roles? - Who will be using the application? b) Why would people use this application? c) What are the technical skills users need to use the application? d) Etc. 2. Construct at least TWO suitable personas for the application using the data captured from your research. Use an appropriate tool to design your personas. Ensure that all personas identified are unique and unambiguously communicate key things to consider for each user group when designing the user interface. Submission Requirements 1.
