The COVID-19 virus is a new virus linked to the same family of viruses as Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) and some types of common cold. Although for most people COVID-19 causes only mild illness, it can make some people very ill. More rarely, the disease can be fatal. People of all ages can be infected by the new coronavirus (COVID19). Older people, and people with pre-existing medical conditions (such as obesity, asthma, diabetes, heart disease) appear to be more vulnerable to becoming severely ill with the virus. There are many datasets that contain the latest available public data on COVID-19 including a daily situation update, the epidemiological curve and the global geographical distribution such as that of Kaggle and European Centre for Disease Prevention and Control Moreover, people spent some effort to analyze the collected data about COVID-19 such as Mykyta Solonko. You may also find some R-packages that help us to better understand COVID-19 such as COVID-19 Data Hub and COVID19. Analyties, Using concepts studied during our course, we aim to develop some statisties about COVID-19 worldwide with more focus on numbers in Egypt. For example, through sim- ple linear regression, we may predict the number of cases in Egypt after two months. We may also use the one-way ANOVA to compare between regions. Plotting some curves allows us to see more facts about this virus. The aim of this project is to apply studied concepts to study COVID-19. You may also look for more concpets and use it to better understand the data collected in these datasets. You may need to look for more datasets that contain data about COVID-19.
