The Health Information department is experiencing employees calling in to be excused from work on a regular basis. Also, there is a high rate of tardiness. She as well as other employees are upset by this. The coders are bickering amongst each other. They are complaining that the senior employees are not doing their share of the work. Additionally, the quality of coding is very poor which is affecting the coding reimbursement process.

It is the Christmas holiday season. Everyone wants to be off. One employee retired unexpectedly and another has experienced a death in the immediate family. The other employees are upset because the holiday schedule was set last year and management can no longer abide by that schedule because of the aforementioned situations.
