RA 3 Rubric: Performance Appraisal
Identify & define 5 performance attributes using the essential functions identified in your RA 2 job description. Students must identify at least 5 performance characteristics linked to job tasks based on the job description they provided in RA 2.
These performance attributes could be: Quality, Productivity, Customer Satisfaction, Teamwork, or any other dimension that might reasonably reflect an employee's performance to the job.

The format students choose can be varied. However there must be at least 5 attributes. A deduction of 5 points should be taken for each attribute short of the required 5. A deduction of 3 points should be taken for each performance characteristic not reasonably defined. A minus 33.333 points if the requirement is not met at all.

It must be clear that each performance measure (poor; meets; exceeds) or any variation is described. This can take the form of either the performance attribute is described as the expected "standard". In this case the definition must describe the expected behavior or performance standard to be met; a variation of this is that each performance increment (poor, meets, exceeds, or similar variations) is defined. What this means is that "poor" performance is defined; "meets" performance is define'; "exceeds" performance is defined.
From these descriptions, an employee and evaluator should have a clear idea what constitutes performance at each level. In some cases, student may introduce specific productivity targets, quality standards, frequency, etc.
