Therefore, it would be the things the helps the organization know what steps to take and to keep a plan for the future to help them stay on track and be successful. The elements of the strategic plan includes things such as the mission statement, vision, strategies, values, etc. These elements help support the values of the organization and to keep it aligned with social work expectations and values.

This is useful to leadership and the organization as a whole by setting and providing the guidelines and expectations. Leaders will be able to look on these things and be reminded of why they are there, what they agreed to, and what they are working towards. These things describe what is to be expected within the organization, which keeps everyone on the same page and keeps them working towards the same end goal.

One problem that could arise during the strategic planning process includes the stakeholder engagement. It is crucial for stakeholders to be on board and engaged with the organization. University of Kansas actually states that without the stakeholder involvement, the plan may fail to incorporate diverse perspectives and insights, leading to strategies that are not fully informed or comprehensive. Therefore, without them being on board, the organization will not flow properly and be as successful.
