Using the Performance Counter, write a LabVIEW VI program that can capture the open-loop step speed response of a motor or any other dynamic system. The user specifies the sampling interval, the test duration, and the desired step magnitude. The program applies the step input to the system at time zero and then records the desired number of samples at the desired sampling rate. When the test duration is over, the program writes the data to a text file. (Note: This problem assumes the availability of a data-acquisition card with a software library for accessing the A/D and D/A.)
