Daniel is working on a project for his Econ 100 class. He wants to know how many people spend more than 50% of their income on housing in Vancouver. Daniel creates a 10-question survey, with an additional 5 questions for those who own their home. On Saturday morning, Daniel travels to Stanley Park and surveys 85 people. He asks anyone who is wearing a blue shirt to participate. From the 85 people who agreed to participate in the survey, only 10 say that they spend more than 50% of their income on housing in Vancouver. So, Daniel determines only 12% of people in Vancouver spend more than half of their income on housing. He reports these findings in his project report.
