He refuses to complete work, gives discourteous answers to questions and is not responding to rewards or consequences. Parents have been contacted and are supportive but have implied that "while he's at school it's the teacher's job to figure it out." The only time he seems focused and polite is in art class or when doing hands-on, interactive activities, but these activities are often lost due to his poor behavior in other classes and environments.
