Two assessments that I think would be useful to use in human services would be OCATs (Organizational Capacity Assessment Tools) and SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats). OCATs will provide funders and nonprofits a framework that facilitates individual reflections about an organization's trajectoryfirst by individuals as they work their way through the questions and then in shared or collective discussions. It also helps the stakeholders identify shared concerns. SWOT is a very useful tool that helps evaluate the company's strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. This tool also helps develop a strategic plan to achieve their mission and will help build better partnership opportunities.
