Using what you have learned in the course so far and your own experiences, capture a particular issue or moment in time by creating "A Day in the Life" document. Take us through a day, from morning to night, describing the setting, the individual, the events of the day, any challenges and/or celebrations.

This assignment could be in a format of your choosing (e.g. paper, PowerPoint, Graphic Novel, etc.) that brings to life in a personal way a time period (e.g. an individual who lived at Pennhurst; a child included in a regular classroom) or an issue (e.g. an individual unfairly accused of a serious crime due to an intellectual disability). Your paper should clearly delineate the salient details and concerns of the "Day" in the individual's life. I have included a sample of A Day in the Life that I created as an example of one way to do it.

DAY IN THE LIFE I developed this \"Day in the Life\" in response to an article written by an advocate for an individual living in a midsize group home facility. The \"Day\" I created for him addresses some of the things he missed from living at home and some of the challenges of daily life when your communication is limited. Another day I think as I open my eyes....I touch the button switch on my bed with my head and the radio comes on. Ilove starting my day with music, and the DJs frequently give the time, the day, and talk about what's going on in the world. There are two other switches on my bed, one opens my curtains and the other lights a light over my door letting Joe know I'm awake and ready for him. Joe is my roommate. He is a poor college student and living with me helps us both. I pay for our apartment from my SSI money and Joe lives here rent free in return for helping me. He comes in and helps me with my morning routine while talking about last night's soccer match. Somehow it doesn't seem so bad being helped by a guy dressed in a T shirt and jeans. After breakfast we head out. Joe drops me off at my job at the factory that makes CDs. With the help of a head pointer, I work on a machine that presses the CDs into shape. After his classes, Joe will come back for me and we'll go to the gym. We each have our routine there....my favorite part is the whirl- pool! Back at home we begin to fix dinner. A few of our friends are coming over so we prepare extra. I help choose our menus each week using a photo album of different foods and 1 help with the cooking. From my recliner on wheels, using my headpointer, I''m the Master of the Microwave! I love watching and smelling the food cook. Joeisn't as good a cook as my mom but he listens to cooler music in the CD player
