Using your phone or a camera, find a computer network and describe what you see!

Computer networking is all around us. Almost every building has a computer network these days. Homes, offices, stores, schools, etc. Find a computer network and use your phone or other recording device to show and describe the following:

  • What is the network used for?
  • What networking components can you see?
  • Are there any networking components that you can't see? If so, what other networking components do you expect are involved behind the scenes?
  • What features or services does the network provide?
  • What types of devices are allowed to connect to the network?
  • Is the network publicly accessible, or is it private?

To receive credit for this assignment, you need to use a video camera to show what you have found and record the answers to your questions. You do not need to appear in your video, but you should be heard. Most phones have recording capability, but if you do not have access to a recording device, you can choose to type out your answers to the questions. You will need to be descriptive - I want to know what you have found. Remember, a picture is worth 1000 words!
