Instructions
Option A is the preferred choice for this assignment, however for those who are not able to volunteer for an event in the timeframe, Option B is available. The purpose of Option B event case study assignment is to provide you with an opportunity to critically analyse a real-life national event.
Option B: This option requires you to generate critical insight and analysis of a national event, Harmony Week.
If you choose this Option B written assignment, you are required to examine the national
event, Harmony Week, and address the following criteria in a written report:
Title page including report topic, Unit number and Unit name, your name and your ID
number, lecturer name, submission date (not included in the word limit);
Table of content and total Word count at the bottom of this page (not included in the word
limit);
1. Why is Harmony Week important? (e.g., why we are cerebrating Harmony Week through
events). Be sure to use academic and industry sources to inform your answer and support
your argument and reasons (400 words). (in this part use some academic and industry
references);
2. Harmony Week has been celebrated in various communities in Australia. As a table (table
is not included in the word limit) in your assignment paper, visually demonstrate a timeline
of 10 significant and interesting events held between 2022 and 2024 to celebrate Harmony
Week of your choice. This timeline table should include event titles, event dates, event
locations, event organisers, and event key activities/programs. To examine these events in
more detail, select two events and indicate what and how they did to celebrate Harmony
Week in each event (e.g.,main event activities to celebrate Harmony Week, what was
most memorable about their Harmony Week celebration?) (500 words) (in this part use

3. Identify the range of stakeholders in 'Harmony Week celebrations' and discuss how they
have been engaged in 'Harmony Week celebrations'. (e.g. discuss the role of each
stakeholder, how/why does each stakeholder get involved in 'Harmony Week' to promote
social cohesion & racial harmony?) Be critical, not just descriptive (600 words). (in this part
use some academic and industry references) Tip: this is a section that requires academic
references to support your demonstration and understanding;
4. Every year various communities have been celebrating Harmony Week. Accordingly, there
are some management issues in planning, staging, operating, and evaluating events.
Discuss what current management issues occurred /may occur (e.g., cyber-attack, risks of
AI technology, environmental destruction) and suggest potential/possible solutions to
handle these current management issues (500 words). (in this part use some academic
and industry references);
5. Reference list- with a minimum of 4 academic references (i.e., scholarly, peer-reviewed
information targeting an academic audience) and 4 industry references (i.e., non-
scholarly resources, published by e.g., companies / industry bodies, targeting a
professional audience). Industry references could be sources such as reports, company
documents, and websites. APA 7th referencing style is required (not included in the word
limit);
6. Appendix (Examples of information that could be included in an appendix; include
figures/tables/charts/graphs, statistics, questionnaires, transcripts of interviews,
pictures, maps, drawings, letters, specification or data sheets. There is no limit to what
can be placed in the appendix providing it is relevant and reference is made to it in
