Suppose we have the angle with measure of 60 degrees or /3 radians. Let's evaluate a bunch of trigonometric functions at that angle. Follow these steps after you open the Excel program. Click on cell A1. Type "angle x" Click on enter Click on cell A2. Type =PI()/3 Click on enter. Click on cell B1. Type cos(x). Click on enter. Click on cell B2 Type "=cos(A2)" (This means that we are evaluating the cosine of whatever is in cell A2) Click on enter Click on cell C1. Type sin(x). Click on enter.
