Question: We will complete 3 Construction Model Implementation Plans throughout the course ( Trust , Well - Being / Self - Worth, and Respect ) .

We will complete 3 Construction Model Implementation Plans throughout the course (Trust, Well-Being/Self-Worth, and Respect). These will coincide with the discussion topic of the week (weeks 2,4, and 6).
If we think about the final leadership portfolio as a paper, the Implementation Plans will be the body of the portfolio (with the Core Values assignment being the intro and the Code of Conduct assignment being the conclusion). Students should use what they have read, discussed, and learned throughout the entire program in the creation of the implementation plans.
-Example: Construction Model might say What I will do everyday Model the behavior I expect to see in others. What does that mean? How are you going to do that? Give real examples of how you are planning to carry that out. You will be graded on the applicability of the implementation plan. Does it clearly articulate how it is going to be done?
-Students should pick 5-6 main points per block (What I will never do, What I will generally do, What I will do weekly, What I will do daily) and give 3-5 implementation points for each main point. An example Implementation Plan and grading rubric is posted to the course content site - Please look at the sample final portfolio for a complete example of an implementation plan. You can use this as a template regarding the structure and depth expected.
I realize that there is some crossover on the leadership topics that we discuss for this class. In leadership, many of these topics are interconnected and we are often using a combination of these when we lead. However, in regard to these assignments, I am asking you to separate the topics and think differently about each one. Each assignment should be unique, with unique main points and implementation ideas. Of course, I could argue that I could probably create one implementation plan that fits all of our discussion topics. That is not the point. Thus, to copy and paste information from your Trust implementation plan and put it in your Respect implementation plan is not what I'm looking for. Even if it's moved around and put into different places or sections. I do not expect 3 of your 5 main points to be carried over from one implementation plan to the next. They should be unique. I'm challenging you to be creative, think about HOW you want to lead. Is it going to be difficult, but Leadership is difficult. Thinking creatively and challenging yourself to think of new ways to lead is difficult - but that is the point of this program and this course - to learn and adapt - to become a BETTER leader. This is why the discussion board is so important! This is why these assignments are so important! We have a chance to hear different perspectives, experiences, and approaches. We can all learn from them, adapt them to our own leadership approach and implement them into our teachings.
This is the capstone class of this Master's program. I want you to walk out of this program with a Positive Leadership Portfolio that is filled with ideas, provides great direction to you in times of need, and challenges you to lead in the way we TALK about leading.
This is an example of what I am expecting from the Construction Model Implementation Plans. Again, taken directly from the syllabus, you will be graded on the applicability of the implementation plan. It should clearly articulate how you are going to carry out your philosophy. It does not help you as a leader to have a great leadership philosophy if you dont know how you are going to implement that philosophy.
The example below fully outlines just one of the What I Will Do examples. Again you should have a section like the one below for each of the What I Will Do points (What I Will Never Do, What I Will Generally Do, What I Will Do Weekly, What I Will Do Daily). These will make up a large part of your Leadership Portfolio at the end. Each Implementation Plan will look like this:
Leadership Topic: (Trust, Well-Being/Self-Worth, Respect.)
What I Will Never Do
Philosophy 1
3-5 Implementation Ideas
Philosophy 2
3-5 Implementation Ideas
Philosophy 3
3-5 Implementation Ideas
Philosophy 4
3-5 Implementation Ideas
Philosophy 5
3-5 Implementation Ideas
What I Will Generally Do
Repeat from above (5 Philosophy Points and 3-5 Implementation Ideas per Philosophy Point)
What I Will Do Weekly
Repeat from above (5 Philosophy Points and 3-5 Implementation Ideas per Philosophy Point)
What I Will Do Daily
Repeat from above (5 Philosophy Points and 3-5 Implementation Ideas per Philosophy Point)
Again, the Philosophy Point should be what youwantto accomplish. The Implementation Ideas should explainhowyou are going to accomplish it. This is going to cause you to think hard and be creative so you can develop things that you can do to be a Positive Leader
