While Hard Rock Caf$$ is theoretically a service business, it is also unique, because $(1)$ the cafe$$s retail sales $($shirts$,$ etc.$)$ account for nearly the same amount of revenue as the main product $($the food$)$ itself; and $(2)$ the management of the memorabilia around the world represents a unique and extremely important operations effort on its own. What do you think are the strengths and weaknesses of this business model? What areas of operations management do you believe are particularly important here?
