On January $20,2022,$ fourteen hours before her first concert in five years, singer and songwriter Adele postponed her anticipated Las Vegas residency due to COVID. In a teary video posted on her Instagram account she told fans that her show was "not ready and they had been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and Covid." She added "It's been impossible to finish the show." But promised to "reschedule all shows and get it to where it's supposed to be$."$ Let's suppose that COVID was not contemplated in the agreement with producers, they did not carry event cancellation insurance and are now liable for a series of expenses related to the event that they will not be able to recover. The producers decide to sue Adele and her management team for breach of contract. Can Adele be discharged from her contract under the theory of impossibility? What remedies if any may be available to the Producers? Explain your answer.
