Select one of the websites your peers suggested was credible. After reviewing the website, submit a document that tells us which website you picked. Discuss each of the following: Date of the website (year is fine). If it is not near the top of the website, scroll to the very bottom and look for a copyright date. If it is a news site that was updated 15 minutes ago, use today's date. If not noted on the website, please say that you looked but could not find it. Logic--do you see any logical fallacies? Does the site make sense? Is it using questionable wording, statistics, or images to affect our thinking about the site? Are there any references that make the website more credible (like studies or sources)? Comment on the visual images Are there additional links provided? Do they lead to other credible sources? In your opinion, is the website effective? Why or why not? You may number your responses, but please answer each question even if is to say, "I do not find any logical fallacies in this website." Remember spelling and grammar always matter, so please write in complete sentences with proper capitalization and punctuation. The purpose of this activity is to see how we "read" websites. Being critical readers takes practice, so you may struggle a little with this, but that is okay.
