WH 07 - Corequisite Stats Success Hypothesis Tests for one Proportion and one Mean Context Recently, the Shoreline math department redesigned its developmental math sequence. In order to improve access to our college-level math classes, we created a "corequisite" version of Statistics for students that either don't quite meet the old algebra prerequisites or for whom it has been a while since their last math class. Goal To help think about how successful the new class has been, we can compare recent Coreq Stats data to historical regular Stats data. In this assignment, we will use hypothesis testing to investigate two questions: How does the proportion of students who pass (get a 2.0 GPA or above) in Coreq Stats compare to the proportion of students who have historically passed regular Stats? How does the average GPA of students in Coreq Stats compare to the historical GPA of students in regular Stats
