We will identify and discuss three best practices that build a strong organizational culture that promotes employee engagement; promoting open communication, empowering employees, employee recognition and rewards. $$

We will describe the organizational culture of both Walmart and Target identifying visible artifacts and underlying norms values and beliefs including symbols such as myth$,$ hero, or stories that exemplify culture. Next, we will assess the impact of each organizations culture on the performance and productivity of individuals and groups and determine if the culture encourages or hinders organizational excellence.$$

Finally, we will compare and contrast best practices of these cultures making specific recommendations to improve employee engagement and alignment.
