What do you know about our company, and why do you want to work here?

This is a variation on, "Why are you interested in this position?" In this variation, the emphasis is more on the company than the job, but you should talk about the appeal of both in your response.

Research is key to answering this question effectively. Before every interview, research the company and the job description so you can speak intelligently about why it appeals to you.

The interviewer wants to see that you know something about the organization and are genuinely enthusiastic about the opportunity. Be as specific as possible to show that you have taken the time to research the company.

While it may seem that your answer should be all about you and what you're looking for, a great answer goes a step beyond that and also mentions your ability to do great work for the company.
