By design the process of collaboration will be uncomfortable at times forcing each stakeholder to work outside the comfort zone of anonymity. By being forced to present their ideas and strategies they are enriching the teaching portfolio of everyone on the team. It is part of the code of ethics to continue with professional development. (NEA 2019). This doesn't always come in the form of a professional development but sometimes in seeing the value in an approach to teaching that you wouldn't try on your own. Pushing out of the comfort zone helps teachers try new approaches and suggest some of their tried and true strategies to help the co- collaborators
