What is a good conclusion for the current phase and state the upcoming objectives and deliverables in the next phase for Results of comparison of the old and new systems and the systems design?

1.Introduction

1.1 The project proposal that will be presented will be for Florida Memorial University (FMU). This University was once a college that was able to build a strong foundation and elevate into an accredited University. This University's core foundation is to ensure that students receive a top tier education. This will allow for an atmosphere that helps students to reach their full potential, while supporting students in achieving academic success and personal growth, creating pioneers for the future. Florida Memorial University strives to make advancements as a top-tier collegiate contender by enhancing a user-friendly Cloud based learning environment. This project will create a robust design to restructure FMU and their Cloud- Based Management System. This will help not only students function better in their academic success but also give administration the tools they need to guide students towards the right path. This new LMS will be implemented and allow for an online platform for students that are not like traditional students. I personally am not a traditional student and I realize the importance of having a school that matches my lifestyle. This system will help students maintain their progress in the degree of their choosing, keep track of course content, and to navigate effortlessly with a new infrastructure.

This proposal's main purpose is to change the disadvantages that students are currently dealing with and updating an outdated system into a new day and age digital platform. Times are starting to evolve with many schools moving from just having traditional classrooms to both hybrid and online classes. With the shift in technology schools can rely on many avenues in which schools can educate students. Florida Memorial University is geared to make the change to give the best learning environment possible. Meeting the many different needs of the students that attend. Even though having a classroom setting has always been the go-to and been effective it is not the only way. It limits the ability for other students to attend, and that new lifestyle may not be the norm. Traditional classrooms put limitations on how learning can be received, the times that are offered and how many students can attend at one given time. A cloud-based LMS offers a different insight into these difficult challenges that some students may encounter. A way to counter this is to have a platform that fits the needs of students in this new day and age. Allowing them to access assignments, readings and activities from all devices and not having to go to a physical classroom setting. Florida Memorial University, shows its commitment to serving a diverse student population, including working adults and non-traditional students. The proposed Learning Management System will assist many departments that make up Florida Memorial University. These Departments would include the many academic departments, administrative offices, and support services. The system will be designed to support a verity of functions, from courses, readings, student exams and a tracking feature to show one's progress. By incorporating some new features into the current learning management system, it will decrease the chance of errors and increase the accuracy rate of data for the administration side. Additionally, this will help increase the connections between staff and students. Staff can focus on ensuring that students are successful in their academic endeavors. This enhanced LMS will be used by academic staff, administrative personnel, and students. The new Learning Management System will consider the many demands and requirements of each user. This learning management system (LMS) will offer students a new easy to use interface through which they can access course materials, submit assignments, submit discussions, and check on their academic status. Tools that will be integrated will create and manage courses, graded assignments, and communicate with students which will be helpful to faculty members. The system will be used by administrative staff to track student progress, handle enrollment, and provide reports. Every user will serve as a reference to the success of this project by meeting their needs. 1.2 Project Scope: The newproposed cloud information system is, highly accessible, scalable, and secure system with Florida Memorial University's current information system. This study will use a mixed-methods comparative analysis methodology. The methodology is intended to offer an impartial framework for evaluating important components of both systems from several angles. The Information Systems Success Model (DeLone & McLean, 2003) will serve as the main theoretical foundation for the comparison. Six major dimensions are included in this model's evaluation of information systems: These are: Information Alignment, System Accuracy, customer Satisfaction, use and service quality.

2 Literature review

Virtual study groups are an important tool that helps students to engage with one another using collaboration. Finding ways to improve the effectiveness, efficiency, and performance of each student involved in the collaborative teams has therefore become an important and challenging issue (Cheng, Li, Sun and Huang, 2016). There is also a lack of literature in individual trust and performance focused in semi-virtual collaboration environments. Nonetheless, semi-virtual collaboration, with participants using computer support and meeting face to face, has currently become a popular method of collaboration (Cheng, Macaulay and Zarifis, 2013). It is therefore interesting to investigate the relationship between the trust level and the performance of individuals in semi-virtual collaboration teams over time. Many Schools in the United States feel that this is a game changer in helping students grow as well as allowing teachers to gain information on where students are having issues the most. Collaborative learning has many benefits, including promoting students' learning effectiveness (Kuo etal., 2012). Students can generate new ideas to complete learning tasks through collaborative behaviors and brainstorming in collaborative learning activities (Lipponen, 2002). The collaborative virtual learning environment based on digital games is called Collaborative Virtual Learning Environments (CVLEs). It provides virtual environments including objects, scenes, and characters. In addition, users can communicate and learn through a virtual avatar to simulate real environment experience (Wang etal., 2016). The visual effects in the virtual environment have a positive impact on collaborative behaviors (Janssen etal., 2007).

Utilizing a virtual study group can be very beneficial using zoom and Microsoft teams platforms. They both have a quality of strengths that are great for students and teachers alike. Zoom is known for its ease user friendly interface and high-quality video and audio. This is a great staple to enhance students' engagement with one another. Zoom has a special feature for what's called a breakout room which allows students to go into a separate room with one another besides the original room to collaborate more in detail if they want. Microsoft teams on the other hand is also great and is integrated with additional Microsoft office tools which are great with collaborating with projects Capterra, (2021). With its chat feature students can add and edit information on a single project making it a more hands on approach. Each of these platforms can improve academic performance and allowing students to put their best foot forward.

Many students come from different places and backgrounds. No one student is the same. This new system is a more diverse system, which will allow for students to learn at their own speed and a way that they understand. There has been research that relates to the growth of students when having a personalized learning path while also being able to collaborate with other students. The old system only allowed for in class discussions and did not cater to those students that needed more help or who could not attend a class in person. Yang Lin et al(2020), "proposed a method based on the knowledge concept network topology. The method was created to optimize the learning path. This method uses different networks connected by related concepts to represent different domain knowledge, to analyze the concept of the correlation between the massive data in the learning process". Lin et al. used relevant data, such as learning time, playing days and learning chapters, to cluster the learning behavior of different groups by a K-Mean clustering method. By discussing the relationship between learning behavior and learning outcomes, a proposal for learning process optimization was proposed. Zhou et al. used clustering and machine learning techniques to predict their learning path and learning effect.

Once students pick a learning path that helps them to be successful in their academic classes they retain and develop better as students. Online learners are presented with a flexible schedule and can learn from anywhere at anytime. Learning paths have a significant role in personalized learning. A personalized learning path allows students the flexibility to select learning content and helps them to accomplish their educational plan with high expectations (Pane et al., 2017). The study (Basu et al., 2013)reported that considering the personal learning preferences of learners helps to improve their learning experience and personalizes the e-learning environment. With the old system that Florida Memorial presents makes it hard a difficult for the non- traditional student to be as successful as traditional students.

With the new Learning Management design it enhances and opens doors to students that do not have the ability to learn as fast, live on campus or even attend classes in person due to life. Everyone that works does not work a regular 9 to 5 job some work mid shift or even overnight. The difficulties that are presented to these students are difficult and challenging. This new management system, it allows for these students to use a new approach which will help lead them to success. Based on the vast extent of information about students and learning that is available at present, studies like (Clow, 2013)and (Siemens, 2012)explain the importance of providing learners with a better learning environment that is tailored to their specific interests, skills and preferences.
