What is a response to the following statement - would recommend the Point Method. The company I am referencing is a large corporation made up of many differing sectors that all play a vital role within the organization. Peeling back the onion further each segment has its own life and hierarchy and must therefore be evaluated with differing compensable factors but for cost effectiveness and ability to have similar plan of action. The point method will allow for Job analysis that can be evaluated in ea. segment independently. Then one can gather the data and determine compensable factors and scale them to the sector and not necessarily the company. Once completed, the pay structure can be determined. This method also affords an economical way to ensure accuracy within each of the segments by gathering more data. Now that this has been completed, the company can rely on a team that has been trained in the implementation of this system that will not need to be from the segment, will not need to be a subject matter expert of that segment, just trained in this process that has been developed. It can then be carried to all levels within all segments
