What is exactly meant by "initial investment"? For example say a property costs $4000 and with tax the initial investment is $4100. Now say I take a out a loan for 50% of the value of the property so 2000 dollars and the interest rate is 1% annually. What is my initial investment? Is it still $4100 or will it be something like $2000 as I have taken out a loan?
