Launching A New Product In To The market – Flying Cycle- “When Wheels Has Wings” where bike will use a combination of existing technologies used in Hover boards and drones, through which people can move within a certain distance. As the roads are limited and more alternative are required to find a solution including AI, IOT and drone based possibility.
This assignment attempt to lunch a product that would disrupt the modern travelling means of passenger. Flying cycle is a concept coming from the old science fictions, by undertaking the process of analysing a product and its operating environments from a marketing perspective. It will be equipped with safety measures to respond to an emergency, that’s why we give a slogan, “when wheels have wings.”
Consumer Adoption
Consumer adoption is a key to the success of Flying Cycle, and it's important for each element of the 5 step process to be followed by the company. (5 Stages of Consumer Adoption Process (Buyer Decision Process for New Products), 2020)
Product Awareness- Company needs to make the customers aware of the product as the flying cycle is a completely new product in the market. Creating awareness involves social media campaigns, test ride offerings and demonstrations in city centres etc. These are essential in grabbing attention from the customers.
Product Interest - At this stage the buyer develops an interest over the flying cycle and the company needs to have a response strategy to address the queries resulting from buyers’ interests over the product. This includes a helpline and inspection to customer sites etc.
Product evaluation- As the customer attempts to compare the product with existing products in the market. The company needs to have strong marketing campaigns highlighting the safety aspects of the product compared to other competitive products such as hover board flyers and jetpacks.
Product trial-At this stage the customer decides the product will attract some users who are curious to know the operation of the product. Therefore the flying cycle needs to give a full idea about the product to its consumers and will need to introduce the product among recreational activists who are using similar products such as jetpacks already.
Product Adoption- The final stage of the adoption where the product will be accepted by the consumers and purchased. In this stage the company will focus on getting the product into the community and making the product acceptable to the consumers.
The product will be targeted on the Adventurous crowds of Gen X and Gen Z and the product will follow the adoption curve. Flying cycle will initially focus on winning tech enthusiasts and visionaries who belong to innovators and early adopters in the curve.(Threlfall, 2017)
