They have spent more than $53 billion on food away from home. Hispanic shoppers typically spend a greater percentage of their income on groceries than non-Hispanics. About 84 percent of Hispanics visit restaurants to dine in and at least 155 times a year for takeout. The Hispanic market segments in several ways that manifest in different brand perceptions purchase patterns, language preferences, and media usage. Hispanics feel restaurants are an ideal place to spend time with the family since they are very much family oriented.
