Making a profit by selling is what drives most companies, but to get to that point of being able to sell a product and or service, that is where marking comes in. Selling is only part of the end result of the marketing process. The main mission of marketing is the satisfy the customers needs, and hopefully have them keep coming back. If you are only selling to make a profit and not worried about returning customers, then it is a very short-term process and the chances of having repeat customers is negatable. Whereas if you have a long-term goal of customer satisfaction, you have a greater chance of keeping your customers.
