Business Description:
I always believe that businesses are our doorway toward financial freedom, however, within that financial freedom I want to give back to my community worldwide by showing social responsibility. In the past year, gas prices have increased significantly which is an alarming concern for me. I've always been drawn to businesses that help others, so I wanted to engage in a business wherein people will surely buy it because it is a necessity while receiving the most genuine service for that necessity; and that would beretailing gasoline. To start out, I want to own a gasoline station in my hometown of Chicago. Surely, every day it will earn gross margin since the majority of the people that make up the city already have vehicles such as cars and motorcycles. Chicago is an urban city that requires public transportation and or reliable/personal transportation, favoringretailing gasoline as a great business to engage in since there is a significant demand for fuel in the city. Citizens that are located on the outskirts, suburbs, and local rural areas travel over thirty minutes to the city, as Chicago is a central hub for businesses and life in general, which is great for gasoline stations. However, I will have to contend with rivalry from the city's other petrol stations. I would be offering affordable gasoline prices to my clients as a way to show social responsibility throughout my communities. I will not mark up gas prices as it is a wiser choice for faster consumption, as many clients will choose my gasoline station because it offers cheaper prices, compared to other gasoline stations in the city of Chicago. My long-term objective for the company is to spread out to several locations in the city, then nationwide. And as an alternative, I might choose to concentrate on building a devoted clientele and giving them superior service, such as more discounted prices transitioning to a subscription-based operation. I must first conduct market research on the Chicago gasoline industry and identify my target market. The name of my business A1 Gasoline stands for all in. I choose A1 or All in 1 because I want to emphasize that we have all the necessities my clients look for in a gasoline station and more since I plan on putting up a convenience store alongside it for clients who have the desire to buy food and other miscellaneous grocery items while they are refilling their gas tanks. This idea is knocking out two birds with one stone. It seems to be a chain of business to me as I already aspire for a gasoline station and convenience store at the same time. As clients pass by and utilize the gasoline station, the continent store would have a great opportunity for business, especially for travelers who come from far places. Al Gasoline is more than a name, but is a phrase that represents our passion for displaying ethics and morals while conducting business. My business would be considered an entrepreneurial business due to the fact that it's a new business concept and not one of a franchise. This innovative passion-driven business is my way to display social responsibility within my community which is my main purpose for this business aspiration. Growing up as a child I endured the financial stress that was put on my family, friends, and community because of fluctuating prices of basic necessities such as gas. I have goals of generating a profit by delivering discounted gas prices resulting in more potential consumers throughout the city, while also potentially expanding my business into other communities similar to mine.
