Writing can be challenging when you are trying to be academically close to perfect. In my essay, I'm struggling with maintaining a consistent parallel structure, which is crucial for academic writing. I'm learning and taking notes to improve this aspect daily.

1. I must focus on my paragraph to ensure a clear thesis and logical structure. Add more words related to the thesis statement and visualize a bigger picture for the audience to understand the essay and its reasoning.

I've come to realize that weak parallel structures can significantly undermine the clarity and impact of my writing. My ultimate goal is to engage with my audience at the highest level. To achieve this, I am resolute in my determination to find ways to avoid weak constructions and ensure the consistent use of an active voice, thereby eliminating any potential confusion for my readers.

What is one area you're struggling with as you fini your essay? I think I'm struggling with trying to format everything into paragraph form. What do I want to say about this topic? Also, my voice in my writing. I'm trying to sound too 'ranty'. When speaking about something, anything really, I can get on a soapbox stance. So, I'm working on that through this class. What is an area you need to focus on as you revise? Grammar! I know we have these fancy little tools on here to help us out, but I enjoy writing, so I'm trying to retain as much of this information as I can. Punctuation has been a big focus of mine. Learning when and where semi-colons go, what's the purpose of them? Also, I have had such a bad habit in the past of the overuse of exclamation points that it's just embarrassing. That being said, I have been keeping an eye on punctuation and grammar during my writing. What is something that you have learned about your writing process and needs with this essay assignment? Well, I've learned that the eyes can go blurry if one looks at their laptop screen way too long. Aside from that, I've learned that I do enjoy writing. I like researching a topic and putting it into my perspective. I like being able to jot down my input and have others like that input. I've also learned that I have been overusing filler words, and I'm trying hard to calm that down. I've done this by revising my rough drafts and marking out all filler words like actually, really, supposedly, etc.
