I cannot assume binary, categorical, or continuous all at the same time because board diversity is the DV for all hypotheses. I also intend on collecting survey data. Dependent Variable - Ethnically Diverse Boards Independent Variable - Ethnically Diverse CEOS Moderating Variable - Size of the company Mediating Variable - The Commitment of the CEO to DEI Control Variable - Company performance H1: ethnically diverse CEOs with a greater commitment to initiatives related to DEI will have a significantly more ethnically diverse board than CEOs with a lesser commitment H2: A CEO from an ethnically diverse background is more likely to appoint an ethnically diverse board of directors compared to CEOs from non-diverse backgrounds
