When considering the main goal of graduate school, we must take into account ones overall goal to better their knowledge within their content. This means that doing authentic work that incorporates their own research and explanations while using the support of others to help guide their work. In addition to using critical thinking to create methods and research that is unique to us and the field that we are working in. Academic dishonesty is the process of taking one's work or theory and using it as their own. This directly undermines the purpose of graduate school because we are enrolled in these advanced programs to become better learners and masters of our content. Academic dishonesty hinders about the ability to learn from our mistakes and highlight our weaknesses. Without identifying our mistakes and learning from them, we are not able to get better and grow within our content. As graduate students, we should strive to develop our own work and create a pathway to new knowledge
